Directions

Car

The University of Sussex campus lies on the A27 between Brighton and Lewes.

From London, take the M23/A23, leaving at Patcham to take the A27 east towards Lewes.

From the west, take the A27 direct to the university.

From the east, go to Lewes and follow signs for Brighton.

IES has its offices on the campus of the University of Sussex. Be warned: car parking can be very difficult during university term times. There are two visitors’ pay-and-display car parks (charged per half day).

Rail

Book through to Falmer station from which there is an underpass walkway onto the university campus. There is a frequent service between Brighton and Falmer, and Lewes and Falmer.

Coach/Bus

Coaches for Brighton leave London Victoria every 90 minutes.

Local buses numbers 28, 128 and 729 travel between Brighton (Old Steine) and Lewes stopping outside the university. Number 25 runs from Brighton to the north end of the university campus.

On arrival, please use the internal phone at either entrance to call the extension of the person you are visiting (or 4299 if there is no immediate answer), to be welcomed.
