40 years anniversary seminars

We are marking 40 years of advancing knowledge and practice by holding a series of five themed lunchtime seminars that will be held in London during the course of 2008-9, aimed at a mixed audience of policy makers and practitioners.

Invited participants will join IES on a journey to explore the evolution of major issues in the field of employment studies, and contribute to the debate on how these are changing to reflect emerging policy and practice priorities.

Along with our own work, IES is appointing a Visiting Fellow to each theme, who will be an eminent academic expert with policy and practice interests, to lead the discussion on each topic. They will deliver a specially commissioned paper reviewing developments in each area, sharing insights and raising questions about current and future challenges.
