There is no doubt that it is important for L&D functions to be able to add real value to their business; not just to justify their existence but more importantly because that is what they are there to do. Our recent research on the future of L&D suggested that organisations are becoming more effective at using learning to support improvement in the business rather than just focusing on giving individuals new skills. Leading organisations are also increasingly recognising that much successful learning and development occurs away from the classroom, in social and informal ways (following the so-called 70/20/10 rule).

But what do these changes look like in successful practice? In this masterclass we will share the latest thinking about what makes for successful L&D as well as hearing the latest thinking in how to create collaborative learning environments. You will also get the opportunity to evaluate your own L&D function and activity against an emerging model of L&D excellence as well as plenty of chance to network and learn from the other organisations attending.
