IES HR Network events

These events are exclusively for Network members and are free of charge for those with Standard and Enhanced membership. They are held in London (or see Scotland below). Numbers may be limited, and so are usually limited to two places per organisation.

hot topic Throughout the year we will also be running topical events, which will contain a mixture of topical debate and the latest business opinion, facilitated by a both IES facilitators and external presenters.

scottish events Events in Scotland: Each year, several Network events are held in Scotland. We suggest topical themes which are then selected by our Scottish Members. Events are normally run in Edinburgh and hosted by one of our members. Topics this year include the impact of mergers and acquisitions on the psychological contract, and the changing face of HR. These events are open to all members.

Based on longitudinal research, this session offered a different lens around which to structure HR activity in communication, leadership, line manager activity and culture.

13:30-15:30 with Peter Reilly, IES Director of HR Research and Consultancy

The changing face of HR
Based on research carried out by IES for the CIPD, this session looked especially at the structural and organisational changes experienced by HR and at its implications for relationships with managers, career development of HR staff and the strategic contribution of the function.
