HR Director or Leader module

For one senior person in the Member organisation, this module provides a unique opportunity for personal support and stimulation. In some organisations the HR Director takes advantage of these benefits whilst in others it can be another senior leader within the HR function.

Annual Provocation

To stimulate thinking, there will be an Annual Provocation event open to all who take this module, at which we will invite an innovative thinker or practitioner to deliberately provide a challenging and alternative view of the world of work to provoke and move us out of our comfort zones.

Three mentoring, coaching or critical friend sessions

The leader will have access to three mentoring, coaching or critical friend sessions with an experienced senior IES coach or mentor. These would typically be two hours long and take place at a convenient location for the leader. At the start of the relationship we will agree with the leader the type of support they require so we can identify the best person to provide these sessions.

HR strategy review

In addition, there is also the opportunity to have one face to face critical friend session focused specifically on a high level review of the HR or people strategy (or similar depending on the role of the person involved).

Personal leadership diagnostic

There is the opportunity to enhance self-awareness by receiving feedback based on one of a number of psychometric and 360 degree feedback tools, including the IES research based assessments – Outstanding Leader or Engaging manager – or the psychometric instruments Strengthscope or Myers Briggs Type Indicator.
