Understanding the Behavioural Drivers of Organisational Decision Making

A cross-Government group led by the Department of Energy and Climate Change appointed IES to lead a consortium (including researchers from Brook Lyndhurst and the University of Nottingham) to undertake a review of the evidence on behavioural factors which explained organisational behaviours and decision making, in order to produce an accessible guide based on generalisable insights found by the review.

The aim was that Government policy workers and other stakeholders would be able to draw on these insights in considering the most effective ways to influence organisational decision making.

The evidence review and tool are now published and available online
