The concept of decent work has been developed significantly by the International Labour Organisation in recent years, based on creating jobs, guaranteeing rights at work, extending social protection and promoting social dialogue.

  • IES, in collaboration with Ergon Associates, is currently working to assess the impact of the global economic crisis on decent work and decent work policies in key emerging economies (China, India and Brazil), with a special emphasis on the situation of young people and women, and its repercussions on the EU labour markets.
