a report researched by IES

In order to inform its training and qualification policies and strategy for the industry, the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) commissioned the Institute for Employment Studies to gain an understanding of the training culture that currently exists within the electrical installation sector.

A postal survey was used to gain up-to-date information regarding current training practice and attitudes towards training. This report draws conclusions regarding the survey and makes recommendations to the ECA.

The research reveals that there are different concerns, and therefore different policy implications, for the various sub-groups within the sector.
