Intermediate Impacts of Advice and GuidanceTyers C, Sinclair A Research Report RR638, Department for Education and Skills, May 2005 a report researched by IES This report looks at whether the provision of Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) makes a difference to the work and learning outcomes of individuals. It showed that the provision of Advice and Guidance (A/G) does result in more positive outcomes than offering Information only (I). A/G users had more contact with a larger number of providers and sought help with careers in greater proportions than I users. The A/G group were significantly more likely to have undergone changes since their intervention as a result of the help they have received. This item is not published by IES. Availability: Publications previously produced by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) may still by available from the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF).
