In the last twenty years, recruitment of consultants has changed beyond all recognition. Thanks to offshoring and lower numbers of graduates qualified in the relevant areas, there is currently a scrabble for talent in the technology and consultancy sectors.

One consultancy firm, Certeco, has successfully risen to the challenge of attracting the right talent by reinventing its recruitment strategy to include new technologies, inventive interviewing strategies that involve existing staff, and a forward-thinking staff development programme.

This paper outlines how Certeco, shortlisted for a CIPD People Management Award in the 'Developing Tomorrow’s Workforce' category, has embraced new ways of thinking and working to achieve reduced recruitment lead times, increased acceptance rates and decreased drop-out rates.
