Labour Market Involvement in Quality Assurance in Vocationally/Professionally Oriented Higher Education in Europe

Final Report, England

Lain D, Maginn A | Report 411 | Institute for Employment Studies | Nov 2003

This report brings together the main research components of the English contribution to the LABMAQUAL research project, funded through the EU's Leonardo Programme.

The research examines how (if at all) vocational higher education is responsive to the needs of the labour market, and how this is related to quality assurance policies, procedures and structures.

The research has been conducted in five countries with a diversity of experiences in this area: Holland, Germany, Spain, France and England.

Reports similar to this one have been produced by the research partners in each of these countries. In addition, the Dutch lead partner, REVICE, has produced a synthesis report, which summarises and draws conclusions from the project as a whole.
