The wider context for this research is the forthcoming age discrimination legislation due to be implemented in October 2006. The DWP has responsibility for providing practical help and guidance for employers. A key objective of this project is to address some of the myths and stereotypes that may currently deter employers from training their workers.
The report collates the available research findings and other information on all aspects of participation in training, and the barriers to participation, relating to employees of all ages.
