Research Officer
We have a vacancy for a Research Officer to join our team based in Brighton primarily in research on people management and HR issues.
IES research and consultancy covers a diverse range of research topics, including: people management; employee engagement; work, health and well-being; employment relations; labour market disadvantage; learning and skills; and welfare-to-work - with an equally wide variety of clients (public, private and third sector employers, employer bodies and policy makers in the UK and Europe).
The successful candidate will be expected to work across our client group and carry out a variety of tasks including: interviews and focus groups; quantitative and qualitative data analysis; literature searches and reviews; and report writing. Applicants should have a good first degree and possibly a relevant Masters degree or postgraduate/professional qualification. An interest in people management and employee engagement is essential.
The appointment will be initially to a 12 month contract, with the possibility of subsequent extension to a permanent post.
Only applications made on an IES Application Form will be considered.
Note: Because of the nature of our work, our clients require staff to be subject to a report from the Criminal Records Bureau.
If you wish to have an informal discussion about this post prior to submitting your application please contact Penny Tamkin, IES Associate Director, on 01273 763407.
