Changes to the IES team
There are lots of changes to the IES team to update you with, including exciting new arrivals alongside some sad departures.
Goodbye to Emma Knight
Our membership manager Emma is sadly moving on to be Head of Corporate and Major Donor Giving with the Martlets Hospice in Brighton – a loss for us but a wonderful job for Emma. She has got to know most of our existing members well over the last couple of years, regularly visiting, meeting and updating members on what we are up to, finding out what members like and value about membership, and exploring how we can meet your needs better. She has also been busy promoting IES membership to new organisations and launching a new IES Honorary Fellows network of experts, gurus and commentators to help expand our expertise and increase the value we can offer. We wish her every success in her new role. Gwen Leeming will now be your key contact for all things membership.
Not-really-goodbye to Dilys Robinson
Dilys Robinson is retiring after more than 20 years at IES. Dilys has been an important member of the IES community, delivering a wide range of projects and events for members; designing bespoke employee surveys; and, as our very own engagement ‘guru’, being a source of no-nonsense advice and expertise on engagement for many of you. However, we aren’t losing Dilys completely, she may be retiring from full-time work, but she will continue to support us and our clients as an associate – we are delighted that it is not quite goodbye.
Welcome back to Stephen Bevan
We also have some new starters and are especially pleased to announce that Stephen Bevan has returned to IES. Steve regularly features in HR Magazine’s Most Influential list, and is very well known (both in the UK and internationally) for his work on wellbeing, leading a number of national and international projects focusing on workforce health and the impact of chronic illness on productivity and social inclusion. Steve is an advisor to employers and policymakers in the UK, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Australasia and North America. He used to work for IES before he moved to The Work Foundation, and we warmly welcome him back.
You can follow Steve on twitter: @StephenBevan
Other new starters
We also have two new junior starters, Beth Horne and Evelyn Breese, who will be supporting our work with employers.
