Naomi Clayton, IES Chief Executive, delivered a pre-Budget press briefing this morning, alongside Lee Chant, Managing Director, ManpowerGroup UK & Ireland and Maxine Bligh, Interim CEO, Recruitment & Employment Confederation.

Naomi presented a labour market context to the Budget, highlighting the pressing priority of government doing more to tackle rising youth unemployment and the NEET crisis; alongside a call for targeted subsidies to be implemented to boost youth hiring, further investment and widening of youth employment support, and ensuring government is finding ways to boost employer confidence around recruitment.
