HR Network News article on Alison Carter's return to the Institute.
IES is delighted to welcome back Alison Carter who previously worked for us between 1998 and 2010, after which she became a Principal Associate.
Alison has a formidable track record in a wide range of HR, OD and leadership development issues. She is well known for her work on the executive coaching process, having directed studies on how organisations can implement, evaluate and get the most from their coaching investment.
Alison was a founding director of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), Co-Chair of the 2nd Harvard International Coaching Research Forum and is a former judge on Opportunity Now gender equality awards for employers.
I am looking forward to working with IES member organisations on a range of change, leadership and training/development matters.
Improving readiness for change is a big challenge. What organisations need is to be more agile and adaptable at a whole systems level with a culture that embraces and deals with change well. A range of training initiatives already exist to support individuals in coping with current changes whilst simultaneously developing the resilience and mindset to ride future change waves.
I will be working with organisations to leverage these initiatives for organisational benefit too. The goal is to achieve organisation agility, adaptability and a change-friendly culture. At IES we are calling that ‘strategic change readiness’.
