Dan Lucy

Director, HR Research and Consulting

Dan is a Chartered Psychologist with expertise in helping organisations and policymakers adapt and respond to the changing world of work. His most recent work has focused on the Defence and Healthcare sectors, supporting the development of evidence-based approaches, tools and guidance to plan and develop workforces in response to current and future demands.

Dan has delivered research and consulting assignments on workforce futures, workforce development, health and wellbeing, and data-driven HR. He led a team that won the HR Distinction Award 2018 for supplier-led innovation and engagement for work with a leading manufacturing organisation on demonstrating the impact of management capability on key people and business metrics.

He was previously a Principal People and Change Consultant at PA Consulting, Deputy Director of HR Research and Consulting at IES, and Head of Research at Roffey Park Institute.

As of October 2025, Dan was appointed as a Visiting Fellow/Professor at Cranfield University, assigned to Faculty of Business and Management.
