Effective curriculum practice below level 2 for 16- to 17-year-olds: Good practice case studies

This report provides 12 good practice case studies produced as part of a project to analyse course content and curriculum that most effectively supports the progression of students participating in below Level 2 programmes at the age of 16 (defined as those without 5 A*-C grade GCSEs and who are not yet in a position to succeed at Level 2).

Using behavioural insights to examine benefit claimants’ approaches to training opportunities

This study explored the training decisions of benefit claimants in the context of Skills Conditionality and mandation, with the aim of improving attendance at training and ensuring that training opportunities for benefit claimants are based on an understanding of their motivations and the other factors that influence behaviour.

Discrimination and access to employment for female workers with disabilities

This study containing IES research considers the access of women with disabilities to the labour market in Europe, in order to assess how multiple discrimination, in this case gender and disability, affects the employment opportunities of women with disabilities.
