The National Student Survey (NSS) has run since 2004. The UK higher education funding bodies, which own the survey, commissioned research to review the purposes of the NSS and how effectively it meets them, and to make recommendations for the survey’s future shape. This set of four reports comprises a summary report, literature review and the responses to surveys and discussions with students and stakeholders.
This report contains the tables from the two surveys of Local Authorities in England that were undertaken as part of the evaluation of the Youth Contract for 16-17 year olds not in education, employment or training. Key findings from the surveys are contained within the synthesis report.
This evaluation covered the experiences of early entrants to this Youth Contract component. It showed that some common approaches had emerged as part of delivery and demonstrated the importance of individualised support through keyworkers in assisting young people to re-engage.

It provides a snapshot of the Bar and of aspects of barristers' working lives over the two years from 2011 to 2013, with survey questions covering employment status, practice area, working hours, earnings, career aspirations, and views about the profession.

This research report seeks to enhance our understanding of how these roles are being developed and currently used within Wales. It also aims to provide insights into how these roles can be better and more widely adopted to maximise their potential impact.
The research is an exploratory study into whether employees receiving coaching at work experience any impact on their perceptions of well-being, job satisfaction and engagement at work. The study is unique in its focus on coaching primarily delivered by internal volunteer coaches to a range of managers and non-managers. Previous studies into well-being have tended to focus on top leaders coached by external coaches.
