Skills Dialogues were a programme of skills assessments across major industrial and business sectors of the economy. They brought together key partners from the National Training Organisations, industry, government, funding agencies and education and training bodies to produce high quality, authoritative reports of current and projected skill needs within 15 broad sectors.

This report summarised the most up-to-date information about skills issue in the post-16 education and training sector in 2002. In particular, it sought to draw together common themes that affect employers and employees working in further and higher education, community and adult education, training and workforce development.
