Bedford Giving – Evaluation of Career Mentoring and Taste of the Workplace
An evaluation of two careers programmes for Year 9 and Year 10 pupils in Bedford – Taste of the Workplace, which is focussed on work experiences; and Career Mentoring, which matches mentors with individual pupils. The evaluation aims to understand whether the programmes have met their initial objectives, what has worked well and less well, and to provide recommendations on how impacts and cost effectiveness can be increased. The evaluation includes a survey of pupils, an in-person consultation with pupils; focus groups with delivery partners and school staff, and mentor and employer interviews.
