Occupational Pensions and Disabled People

This report examines how occupational pension schemes operate and how they treat disabled people. The study aimed to assist the Disability Rights Task Force in assessing what changes (if any) might be appropriate to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) relating to occupational pensions.

The study aimed to assist the Disability Rights Task Force in assessing what changes (if any) might be appropriate to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) relating to occupational pensions.

It included a review of existing evidence, data from 50 pension schemes, interviews with scheme managers, pension industry representatives, disabled people’s organisations and other expert parties.
