We Move FWD Academy Learning Partner
The launch of the We Move FWD Academy marks an important shift from earlier phases of work undertaken by BBC Children in Need (CiN) to remove barriers and create opportunities for Black children and young people across the UK. At its heart lies a critical question: how can youth-led, culturally grounded approaches enable access to paid pathways, without losing the authenticity and agency that make them effective? IES will serve as the Academy’s Learning Partner to offer culturally competent, hands-on support to delivery organisations of the pilot, by offering real-time input and generating clear, practical insights for future scale. This involves a developmental, test-and-learn approach, with light-touch tools and rapid feedback to inform decision-making during the pilot. It also requires building strong relationships with delivery partners, providing support at key moments, and convening a community of practice to enable shared learning and continuous improvement.
