LEIA – Workforce, Skills, Education, Competence and Professional Development Review
IES are delivering research to support LEIA’s strategic development by investigating the workforce needs of the lift and escalator sector, current education, training and other skills development pathways, current and future challenges, and opportunities for LEIA to support the sector.
This will be explored using mixed methods research combining desk based analysis of existing evidence; quantiative analysis of national data to understand the size and nature of the workforce; a survey collecting employer views on current and future workforce issues; interviews with a range of stakeholders to gain in depth data on research questions; and advisory group workshop to consult, validate and develop findings and reccomendations.
