The IES Annual Conference 2022: Looking ahead to the future of work

Past HR Network Conference
28 April 2022

About this event:
The last two years have flown by, with HR teams supporting the organisation to rapidly develop new policies and ways of working. Two years after the pandemic started, we are still facing some new and significant workforce challenges – labour shortages and skills gaps; a health and wellbeing crisis and an ongoing demand for hybrid working. HR needs to respond with both short and long term solutions.

The focus of our conference this year is to put some of these current workforce challenges into wider context and to stimulate thinking about some of the potential solutions. We will showcase some of the latest IES projects and research, hear from leading HR thinkers and create opportunities to virtually network with like-minded colleagues.

The key questions we address are:

  • What is happening in the labour market?
  • Have the events of the last two years changed how we work forever?
  • What do young people want from work and how can employers engage them?
  • What tools can help HR practitioners to plan for an uncertain future?
  • How can we build healthier, happier workplaces?
