IES has a long track record of researching and understanding what drives employee engagement and motivation in different workforce contexts, and in demonstrating the links between higher employee engagement and context-specific measures of performance. Through our work, we have developed diagnostic measures of engagement tailored to different workforce contexts, measured and assessed levels of engagement, measured the impact of organisational development interventions on engagement, and provided advice on how to shift the dial on employee engagement.
Our work on engagement has extended to influencing important national debates on the subject and influencing policy around developing positive work cultures and improving the quality and experience of work.
We collaborate closely with our colleagues from the Involvement and Participation Association (IPA) to both influence the national debate and to support sectors, industries and employers with shaping their approach to fostering greater workforce voice and engagement.
