Health and wellbeing at work

Our work on health and wellbeing focuses on identifying the factors that support health and wellbeing at work in different contexts and for different groups, helping design and test interventions that support wellbeing and help people with health conditions to access, stay in or return to work quickly and effectively.

Our work has supported employers, policymakers and representative bodies, and has covered both physical and mental health. IES research has spanned various sectors including healthcare, rail, higher education, construction, manufacturing, emergency services and diverse occupational and workforce groups.
