In recent years there have been several key developments for employment and skills guidance policy that have led to the formation of a number of initiatives, including the Advancement Network Prototypes.

In 2009, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) commissioned 10 Prototypes to develop and trial local solutions to support adults in their communities to access careers, employment and skills advice, as well as other forms of support.

This report synthesises the findings from the three waves of qualitative evaluation activity.
