A call to action for retail, hospitality, health and social care employers
In this paper, Abbie Winton suggests that as well as looking at pay for a solution to the current recruitment challenges, there is also a need to understand which other parts of the employment offer need to be adapted to make work more appealing to a broader potential pool of workers.
The focus of this paper is mainly on the retail sector within this discussion but also looks at hospitality and health and social care, since there are certainly lessons to be learnt across all sectors that have had to navigate these extraordinary demands over the past couple of years.
