The IPD Guide on Implementing Computerised Personnel Systems

Edward A, Robinson D |   | Institute of Personnel and Development | May 1997

This guide has been written for the personnel practitioner. It aims to give an understanding of the issues involved in introducing personnel systems, and to help identify and avoid the pitfalls, and will be useful for everyone involved in the implementation process.

It draws on first-hand experience of managing personnel systems implementations, including lessons learned the hard way. It is not intended to choose your system for you, or turn you into a technical expert overnight, but will give you an overview of all the issues on the way to a successful implementation.
