Measuring the Effectiveness of Training

Spilsbury M | Report 282 | Institute for Employment Studies | Apr 1995

This report is a synthesis of the literature on training evaluation, combined with evidence from a number of employers who are actually undertaking some evaluation activities.

It describes a cyclical model to evaluate training, with particular emphasis laid on the identification of training needs and research tools that can be used to measure the impact of training on the organisation.
