No time to lose: Getting people into work quickly

This report has been co-authored by eleven organisations/ individuals including IES, and sets out proposals for providing immediate ‘Into Work’ support for the newly unemployed and those at risk of redundancy as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Specifically it calls for:
- Support for everyone who needs advice to find new work – including those unemployed, at risk of redundancy and self-employed people;
- A universal offer of initial support from an employment adviser, signposting to further support, and access to advice and tools for jobsearch and careers guidance; and
- Targeted re-training and skills support to help people to change careers, upskill to fill new jobs, and invest in their own learning.
