This report assessed the impact of a rapid rise in the supply of graduates on the labour market.

In order to understand the potential longer term effects of growth in graduate output, the Employment Department commissioned this study on the US labour market for new graduates.

Rapid rises in US graduate output in the past had taken it towards a mass higher education system. This could provide some insight into the kinds of changes we can expect in the UK.
