Webinar & slides: Organisational diversity & inclusion strategies
Are they fit for purpose?
There has been a huge increase in D&I activities in organisations over the past few years, as companies realise the fundamental importance of diversity and inclusion. However, it is an area of practice where we have limited information about what really works to inform strategy development and therefore the selection of interventions to improve D&I performance. An orthodoxy of approach to D&I strategies has emerged, which needs to be questioned.
During this session IES Principal Associate Rob Barkworth shared findings from his recent study of D&I strategies used by FTSE 100 companies, considering:
- Are D&I Strategies published to ‘look good’ or ‘do good’?
- Are organisations selecting the right D&I objectives and are the interventions used to meet them appropriate?
- And how do the FTSE 100 evaluate their strategies to inform the next strategy cycle?
