Clare joined IES in 2021 to head up the HR Research and Consulting team. With over 20 years HR experience in both in-house and consultancy roles, she has particular expertise in job design, organisation development, diversity and inclusion and talent management. Her passion is for innovation and sharing great practice in the design of fairer and healthier workplaces.
Before joining IES, Claire led the consultancy team at Timewise, working with employers to introduce flexible and hybrid working, and more inclusive job design. Her clients included Google, the Telegraph, Manchester City Council, Royal Free Foundation Trust and NHS England and Improvement. She is a passionate advocate for inclusive working in the NHS, having led a Community of Practice for London and been part of the NHS England and NHS Improvement advisory group on flexible working.
Prior to Timewise, Claire was a Senior Civil Servant in HR roles in DWP and DECC. Her roles there spanned talent management, HR capability, workforce strategy and resourcing. She has delivered projects partnering with CIPD, the Local Government Association and NHS Leadership Academy and is a Fellow of the CIPD.
