Julie joined IES as a Research Officer in September 2019. Her research interests include working conditions, workers’ health and wellbeing, and new forms of work/contemporary employment arrangements with a focus on precarious work. Besides this, she is interested in methodological issues regarding quantitative analyses. She completed a Masters in Sociology and Quantitative Analysis in the Social Sciences, which made her adept in a wide range of statistical research techniques and several software packages, such as SPSS, Excel and LatentGold.

Before joining IES, Julie worked as a research trainee in the Working Life Unit for the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound) in Dublin. There, she mainly worked with the European Working Conditions Survey (EWCS).
