Senior Economist

We are recruiting a senior economist to join our team to lead and manage quantitative analyses in the fields of employment, labour markets, health, and social policy. This role involves carrying out analysis of data from both survey and administrative sources to estimate the causal impact of public policy changes and associated costs and benefits. Typically, projects estimate the effectiveness of programmes designed to overcome barriers to labour market participation and reduce inequality, and so this role will have a particular focus on leading and managing high quality impact evaluations.

About you

The successful candidate will be a highly competent quantitative researcher, with excellent skills in applied econometrics, statistics and/ or programming, and a track record in using these skills to a high standard as part of a research team. They will have the ability to lead project teams and work closely with clients.

Applicants should have excellent academic qualifications in economics or empirical social sciences (preferably at Masters level or higher) and a good understanding of UK employment and social policy and related research evidence.
