Where are all the workers? Understanding our labour market – an expert session
Wed 30 Nov 2022 10:00 to Wed 30 Nov 2022 12:30Hosted by the Office of National Statistics, 2 Marsham Street, SW1P 4DF
The Labour Market Statistics produced each month by the Office of National Statistics provides key information about the UK workforce. Understanding the trends and underlying causes can help employers to adjust their recruitment strategies and make appropriate workforce plans.
At this event, we will have the opportunity to hear from, and ask questions of two leading experts in the labour market. Darren Morgan, the Director of Economic Statistics Production and Analysis from the ONS and Tony Wilson, Director of IES and author of the IES monthly labour market briefing.
Hosted by Phillippa Bonay, Director of People and Business Services, ONS, and HR Director for the Government Analysis Function, there will also be an opportunity to explore how HR can use this information to inform its workforce strategies.
This event will be for a small group attending in person to allow for a rich conversation. Ideal for senior HR practitioners and those with responsibility for workforce planning and resourcing.
