Achieving World Class HR

In a bold initiative, 63 NHS organisations in the North West collaborated in a project 'Towards World Class HR'. Following early involvement, IES was asked to provide further research and consultancy support. It is important that these organisations challenge and encourage each other in implementing their action plans, so IES designed a peer review process, including guidance and training. Perceptions of progress are an important factor in this project, so IES also repeated initial online surveys to gauge the opinion of managers and staff. Further research on the link between the Seven Factors on their World Class HR Model and patient outcomes provided a sound basis for HR improvement throughout the NHS.
