Providing targeted advice on ESF support to apprenticeship and traineeship schemes

The aim of this two-year project was to help the European Commission (DG EMPL) support governmental bodies, at national and regional level, and social partners, in both setting up new apprenticeship and traineeship schemes, in particular ESF-funded programmes, and in improving the quality and performance of existing apprenticeship and traineeship programmes.

This project, which built on the EU-wide Traineeships study led by IES, was one of the key actions foreseen by the EU’s Youth Opportunities Initiative and Youth Employment Package. The consortium was led by Ecorys, with IES and IRS being the other two core partners.
