Public sector use of collective conciliation

IES has been commissioned by Acas to provide an in-depth analysis of the views of senior public sector HR and employment relations managers on their experience and use of collective conciliation and their use of Acas's conciliation services. The analysis will be based on 15 interviews that were carried out in early 2011 by IES, and will explore issues such as the nature of disputes in the public sector, the mechanisms in place for handling disputes, preferred methods for resolving disputes, and comparisons with practice in the private sector.
