Study on the Apprenticeship Supply in Member States
IES was part of an EU-wide consortium (led by IKEI Research, Spain) that undertook a study providing an overview of apprenticeship-type schemes in Vocational Education and Training (VET) in all 27 Member States, especially in the context of the recent crisis. This overview described the main features of such schemes and discussed their effectiveness in raising employability and facilitating labour market transitions. The possible effects of the crisis on such schemes was also examined and recommendations were made whether and how the availability of apprenticeship places could be increased.
