Work Organisation and Innovation

This project identified how innovations in High Performance Work Practices can improve employee outcomes and organisational performance in a range of sectors and countries.

The project examined how such innovations may support organisations to contribute to the European Commission's Economic Strategy for 2020 of achieving smart, sustainable, inclusive growth and outlined why it is in organisations' interests to adopt these innovations.

It involved a series of case studies undertaken by IES and a network of European partners. The case studies were then analysed using a conceptual framework and synthesis of existing literature from which learning points for implementation and proactive roles for employees in putting High Performance Working into practice were specified.
