Assessment of Business Link Health Checks

Business Link Health Checks were developed to help smaller firms to identify business areas in which they could develop new capabilities in order to withstand the effects of the current economic downturn. Since coming on stream last year, they have supported more than 44,000 small businesses to strengthen their capabilities in finance, marketing and strategic planning. This early assessment for the former Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform will provide up-to-date empirical evidence of how firms have developed new capabilities in response to their Health Checks, and what processes they have put into place for the future.
