The Pathways to Apprenticeships (PtA) programme is an innovative arrangement that aims to prepare young people aged 16 to 24 for apprenticeship by supplying a prior, mainly college-based year of vocational education and training to Level 2.
For employers, Pathways Apprenticeships are young people who have successfully completed a preparatory year and motivated to continue adding to their skills towards Level 3 achievement. 5.
The evaluation examined the process and impacts of the Pathways programme to date. Drawing conclusions on achievements, it was also designed to guide the future delivery of the programme.
