International workforce planning for WWF Central Africa

WWF in Central Africa wished to ensure it had an adequate workforce to deliver its regional strategy. The management wanted strategic and practical guidance on:

  • how to plan, implement and monitor workforce planning
  • access to tools and processes
  • inputs to best fit workforce and organisational structures
  • workforce demand and supply for the strategic plan.

IES ran a workshop on workforce planning in Cameroon for senior management and HR professionals from there, the regional office, Gabon, Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo setting out the concepts and tools used in workforce planning and identifying actions required to fit business needs with representatives.

Following the meeting we worked with HR colleagues individually and collectively to develop their plans. Further support was subsequently given remotely until the plans were finalised for each country.
