Knowledge Knibbles: Employee engagement

Understanding employee engagement is now accepted as an important component of business success. There is a mounting body of evidence that engaged employees really do contribute positively to the bottom line. They are business aware, good team players, use their initiative and look for ways of making the organisation a better place.

Many organisations now measure employee engagement levels on a regular basis via attitude surveys, and delve deep into the results to gain an understanding of what drives engagement. Others, however, may be missing opportunity to understand their employees better.

This session is an opportunity to hear about the evidence linking employee engagement with positive organisational outcomes, including IES’s own research. You will also have the opportunity to discuss the best ways to raise engagement levels in your organisation.
